Prosperity Gospel

Daniel 12:4

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.


Often times people coitize the prosperity Gospel.

They criticize "Name it and claim it."

Here are my thoughts on it.

Matthew 7:7-8


7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.


Why does the Bible say ask and it shall be given to you if he did not want you to prosper?

Psalm 100:5

5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.


When the Bible says God is a good God, it means He good period. It is sin that stops people from prospering. For some it is their sin. For others it is someone else's sin (like in the case of John who was beheaded).

How good is God?

Remember when God created Adam and Eve, he made them rich, healthy and happy.

Genesis 2:15-16

15 And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Isaiah 35:6

6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

Revelation 21:4

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Isaiah 65:24

24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.


God is all powerful, and all loving. He gives freely. If you pray to Him he wants you happy. God is love. I'm not 100% sure what the prosperity Gospel is, but if you're praying for your lusts he will not answer, but if you're praying for His sake, so He can be glorified, it will be answered. God gives richly. Do not be deceived. God is Good. Heaven is better than you can imagine. Why? Because God is better than you can imagine. Pray high. Pray selflessly. Pray for HIS richness, not your selfish riches and that prosperity Gospel will come to pass.
