A Teaching 7: Scamming A Biblical Perspective

 Scamming A Biblical Perspective

Daniel 12:4

But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased

2 Corinthians 2:11

11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Matthew 6:24

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Proverbs 10:19

19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

To scam is to serve money. The scammer is serving money. They convince you to give them money through many words. To be deceived is to not serve the LORD. By listening to them, there is typically a feeling great hope or joy that comes with it, or skepticism but you're wanted good enough to take the risk. You lose money and you're saddened. Why did you trust the scammer in the first place? To make money right which you should not be serving. You should have trusted the LORD and not the money in the first place.

Multitude of words is evil. Few words is Jesus.

This is what truth looks like.

Genesis 2:17
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die

This is what a scam looks like.

Genesis 3:1-6

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Do not be under the subtlety. Love Jesus with all of your heart. GOD JESUS must increase.
